This logo is a conceptual identity exploration rooted in Baybayin, a pre-colonial Filipino writing system known for its fluid, expressive forms.
The Baybayin characters for Malaya, “ᜋ (Ma) ᜎ (La) ᜌ (Ya)”, which means “Free” or “Freedom” in Filipino, were reinterpreted and arranged to create a
bird-shaped negative space, symbolizing freedom and self-expression. The mark focuses on the thoughtful use of symbolism and negative space to communicate meaning beyond aesthetics.
This longer animation explores storytelling through motion, building on the symbolism of the logo. A sketch-style effect gradually fills the Baybayin characters, representing growth and intention, before solidifying into the final form. A bird then appears and lands within the negative space, activating the silhouette and revealing the name and tagline. The piece was created to explore how narrative motion, symbolism, and timing can work together to create an emotionally meaningful visual experience.
This short animated intro is a motion design study created for use in personal digital and social content. The wordmark expands at the center, shifts to reveal the name, and then returns to center before fading out. The animation emphasizes visual hierarchy, pacing, and clarity, serving as a clean, modern introduction that reinforces brand recognition without distracting from the content.

PROJECT TITLE
Personal Identity Exploration
DESCRIPTION
These projects are personal design explorations created in my free time as a way to stay current with design trends, motion graphics, and evolving tools such as AI. I regularly watch tutorials and attend design conferences when possible, then apply what I learn through concept-driven work focused on motion, storytelling, and symbolic visual communication. Many of these projects explore themes of motivation and affirmation, reflecting my interest in using design to create emotional connection, spread positivity, and help people feel seen.
